2016

Dawoon Park (1991) is a Korean media artist with a background in visual communication through film, installation and performance. She is interested in developing artistic forms that manifest the reproductivity of intermediate states between things. Her focus on the emergence of aesthetic experiences can be seen as an archiving of the novelty generated by the dissonance between multimodal media, some of which are endowed with personal qualities.

Her current research project in the Binational Artistic PhD at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen (HfK Bremen) and the University of Groningen (RUG) explores the possibility of iconic and performative aspects in the symbolic process for alternative knowledge production in postcolonial artistic conditions. She studied New Media in Visual Communication for the MA at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) in Germany and Communication Design for the BFA at Dankook University in South Korea.
